About
A museum's care for every collection
A tessera is one small tile of a mosaic. Every object in a collection is one, and together they tell a story worth keeping.
Museums keep a record of every object: what it is, where it came from, what condition it is in, who handled it and when. Most private collections, and many small museums, have no time or tools for that. The knowledge sits in drawers, on old invoices and in someone's memory.
Tessera brings that care within reach. The AI does the first research from a photo; the record is built to the standards museums use; and you stay in charge of every decision.
Founder's story to come. Mark: a few paragraphs here on who you are, how you came to collecting and why you started Tessera. This box disappears once it is written.
How your data is kept
- Records and photos are stored in the European Union: the database in Ireland, the servers in Frankfurt.
- Photos go to AI providers only to analyse them.
- Appraisals and evidence are kept as they were recorded, with a full history of changes.
